Newburyport, Massachusetts is a charming seaport city at the mouth of the Merrimack River, in the northeast corner of the state. The smallest city in Massachusetts, Newburyport is rich in history and brimming with arts, culture and recreation. However, the majority of the inhabited section of the island is part of Newbury, and other smaller sections of the southern end of the island are part of the towns of Rowley and Ipswich.
