Eliot is a town in York County, Maine, that was originally settled in 1623. Formerly a part of Kittery, Maine it is the next most southern town to the northwest in the state of Maine. The town sits along the Piscataqua River and is across from Portsmouth and Newington, New Hampshire. With a population of 6,717 according to the 2020 census. Eliot is part of the Portland–South Portland–Biddeford, Maine metropolitan statistical area.
Eliot is home to Ambush Rock, Green Acre and the Raitt Homestead Farm Museum.
