Cost: Free – that’s right this incredible event is free.
Donations: Greatly appreciated! Look for the red buckets throughout the event.
Transportation
What? You are not a resident and don’t have a parking sticker? No worries! Plum Fest offers Free Shuttles to all the music venues!
FREE Shuttles – that’s right, Plum Fest offers free shuttles from the Plum Island Airport to the venues across the Island. Shuttles (did we mention they are free?) will run from 11:00am – 7:00pm – download the map of locations and schedule of performances here. You can get on and off the shuttle throughout the day as it circles around from the venue location and back and forth to the airport.
Throughout the Island, porches, driveways, yards and parking lots will be transformed into musical venues featuring every type of music imaginable. Plum Fest is the place to be. You may want to bring a chair or a blanket to make your own ‘seat’ at one of the many locations.
Performers
Plum Fest welcomes back many of your favorites from over the years as well as new performers. Interested in learning more? Check out the list of performers here and support their websites and social media.
This grass roots inspired free music event is completely run by volunteers! Support their efforts and their fundraising by making donations at the event – just look for the red buckets! Red buckets will be placed throughout the performances and donations will be collected for the Boys and Girls Club of Lower Merrimack Valley – a great organization that is near and dear to our hearts here at Stone Ridge Properties.
About this year’s beneficiaries: The Boys and Girls Club of Lower Merrimack Valley
The funds raised at PlumFest will support the ongoing music education program at the Boys and Girls Club of Lower Merrimack Valley, and will enable the club to expand its existing music curriculum by adding instruction in recording technology, studio engineering and sound management.
Volunteers from the club will be helping to staff the welcome table, supervising the parking lot at the airport, and providing some of the buses to help transport visitors around the island on the day of the event. Their support (this year and in the past) is a key asset in helping make PlumFest run smoothly for everyone! Be sure to thank them, and be generous on PlumFest day to help them keep their wonderful music program going strong! (source PlumFest.org)
